Why does building wealth feel so complicated?
Growing up, we watched family members work incredibly hard. They saved, avoided debt, and sacrificed for their children. But investing, retirement planning, taxes, and long-term financial decisions always felt overwhelming.
There wasn’t a lack of effort.
There was a lack of guidance.
Some people hired expensive financial advisors. Others pieced together advice from YouTube, Reddit, blogs, and social media. Most simply hoped they were making the right decisions. We believed there had to be a better way.
We built the tool we wish our families had.
We’re engineers, analysts, and lifelong learners — not Wall Street executives. Over the years, we’ve spent thousands of hours studying investing, retirement strategies, taxes, behavioral finance, and the systems that quietly help people build wealth.
What frustrated us most wasn’t that the information didn’t exist. It’s that it was scattered across hundreds of websites, books, calculators, and spreadsheets. Financial planning shouldn’t require a finance degree.
So we started building Lilikoi Finances: one place where anyone can understand their finances, make confident decisions, and build a long-term plan.
We believe:
